Preparing for the Event:
Everyone is welcome to the third annual Greater Toronto Area 3 person team GT event held, for the second time at Torchlight Games and Hobbies. We are very excited to partner with an amazing crew and play in a welcoming space. We appreciate any effort you make into bringing beautiful armies, display boards and, most importantly, good team spirit.
Building Your Team
This is a WTC Team Style event that uses all current WTC and 40K rules for team composition, which means when you bring your team of 3 there are some faction limitations you must keep in mind when making your lists!
A team will consist of a minimum of 3 players. We will not be allowing any non-playing team members (coaches).
Team Factions at 3 Man Team Rosters
Each team may select from the factions listed below. If there are multiple codexes for a single faction, such as Blood Angels, Dark Angels, etc, this faction may still only be selected once per team. You may only have 1 disposition per team.
If an army list includes a primary faction and allied units, then both of those factions are spoken for.
Building Your Army
This is a competitive GW 40K event so make sure to bring your best stuff! Here are the rules for list construction:
-
Uses all FAQs and GW publications, and the FAQ as mentioned above.
-
Use the most recent points for the event (Chapter Approved/Codex/etc) as of April 5, 2027 at 5PM EST.
-
Armies must be battle ready.
-
All armies must be WYSIWYG for primary wargear. Focus on making sure units with multiple profiles are clearly distinguished on a model by model basis. A great example is Tempestus Aquilons with 6 different types of guns in one unit.
-
Secondary wargear (think pistols) don’t need to be modeled.
-
2000pt lists.
Army Submission:
Please upload your lists to the Best Coast Pairings App by April 5, 2027, 9pm. Team Captains, it is your responsibility to ensure all lists are in BCP before the cut off. All players must have their faction and disposition selected as well as their army list submitted text format.
What to Bring:
-
Chapter Approved Mission Deck
-
Measuring Tools
-
Adequate Dice (enough to do a round of shooting with your units, for example).
-
A reliable and easy to access source for all the rules to your army.
-
On that note, an external battery for your phone is a very helpful tool.
-
Ability tokens are MANDATORY to keep track of active buffs and relative tokens (Vow Target, Pain Tokens, Auras, etc).
-
You can also use data cards and self made cards, just make sure to have them for each ability.
-
A great attitude!
Painting
The standard GW Battle Ready IS required to score 10 points each round for painting.
