PLAYER RULES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Players attending this event are responsible for supplying their own miniatures, cards, dice, measuring tools, tokens, submitting a Premiere List, and any other game pieces required during play.

The official AMG Premiere Showdown Event Rules document explains all additional expectations of players and will be the reference point for this Grand Tournament. All players are expected to be knowledgeable of its contents:

PREMIERE LIST

A player must submit a Premiere List to the event on Longshanks by end of day Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and may not change their list after this time unless an error has been found and a change is required by the Event Organiser or Judge.

During a Premiere Showdown event, players do not submit a single strike team as normal. Instead, players submit a Premiere List of four separate squads and one Mission Set that they will use to build their strike team at the start of each game. Each squad must meet the normal squad-building restrictions detailed in the Shatterpoint Core Rules book, which can be found at atomicmassgames.com/swp-rules/.

Additionally, when building their Premiere List, players may not include a Unit that shares the same Unique Name or Unit Name with another Unit already in their Premiere List and must apply all special rules applicable to building a strike team across all four of their squads. At the start of each event round, before determining the first player, each player builds a strike team by selecting two of the squads they have brought to the event along with their chosen Mission Set. Players build their Order Decks in secret, then simultaneously reveal their entire Order Deck to their opponent.

SPORTSMANSHIP

All players are expected to act in a civil way during the event. Disputes and disagreements will happen during games, but players should remain respectful of other players, Event Staff and the space they are playing in. Should a dispute or an argument arise, players should immediately call for an Arbiter to help resolve the issue.

Shatterpoint is mostly an open-information game. Players can always request to see Unit Cards, Stance Cards and what Order Cards are not currently in their opponent’s Order Deck. Players should never attempt to obscure or mislead their opponent about any stats, cards or abilities they have available.

EVENT STAFF

Venue Organizer: Will Hayward / Torchlight
Tournament Organizer/Judge: Trevor Bergmanis

JUDGES

Trevor Bergmanis is the head judge for this Grand Tournament. To get the attention of a judge for a dispute ruling, raise your hand and call out for a judge. A judge will come over to make a ruling.

The job of a judge during the event is to keep games moving and resolve players’ issues that arise during gameplay. If either player is unhappy with the ruling of a judge, they may escalate it to a second opinion from another judge before reaching a final decision.

Judges are responsible for issuing warnings to players and determining whether a player should be ejected from the event. Judges may issue warnings to players who fail to follow the sportsmanship rules listed in the Premier packet. They may also warn players who attempt to abuse margins of error, obscure the open-information state of the game, or fail to maintain a clean and clear game state.

The head judge or Event Organizer may immediately eject a player from the event when necessary. Examples that may result in immediate ejection include:

  • A player becomes upset, threatens or becomes violent toward another person.
  • A judge has reason to believe a player is intentionally cheating.
  • A player receives three or more warnings during the event.
